very warm and windproof, but not waterproof at all
By Erico Lombardi Ferrugem
This is a great thermal jersey. I've used it with a PI transfer baselayer down to low 30s and it was almost too warm. I love the thumb loops. It also looks good, and on a couple of occasions I've used it off the bike. The size is similar to other high-end PI jerseys, although it is not as form fitting. It is definitely windproof. My biggest complaint is that it is not waterproof at all, and that was one of the reasons I decided to spend the extra bucks to upgrade from the PI elite thermal jersey (which I also own and like; it is not as warm, but more comfortable and form fitting). I would say it is at the most moderately water resistant. It will withstand very light rain, but under a heavy downpour it will be drenched and my arms will start getting wet after 13-15 minutes. If you're looking for a thermal jersey, this is a safe bet. If you're looking for a waterproof thermal jersey, look elsewhere.
Just as a side note, the best bike rain jacket I've found so far is the cheapO2 Cycling Rain Jacket which performs surprisingly well in the waterproof X breathable dilemma. It is very thin, though, so not intended to give you any sort of thermal protection.

Great!
By RyanS
This jersey is great for rides down to the low 30s, but I find it too warm for anything above the mid 40s. I usually pair it with a long-sleeve base layer. The thumb loops on the sleeves eliminate any drafts up the arms, it's long enough in the back for solid coverage, and there are three standard pockets with an additional fourth zippered pocket. I'm 6'1", 160 lbs and a medium fits perfectly.
